What our students say:

"I've improved a lot already and I'm much more confident. My knife skills are improving and I'm learning to be more independent. The trips every Monday have given us amazing experiences!"

The visit to Ashburton Cookery School was inspirational! I’ve learned so much already and I love the professional feel of training at the college.

"I love working at the @34 restaurant to gain customer experience, it's really built my confidence and it's great for our team work. I also enjoy the chefs demonstrations and the advice they give."

I love learning alongside other like-minded students who share the same passion. The variety of trips and experiences we get a brilliant and I've made big improvements in my technical skills through being shown new skills and given top tips.

"I have learned loads from the trips, visits and demonstrations we've had, it's great to have realistic learning experiences. I particularly enjoyed the venison demo and the visit from Mark Dodson."

We have such an advantage by going on all the trips and experiences and it's great to build up contacts and open doors for us too. I most enjoy working on the pastry section and I enjoy having appraisals and hearing the good and the bad! I've made loads of progress already and I'm challenged by my peers on the course.

What our partners say:

"I had such a good time with the students on my visit on November - they were all a great credit to the college"

Beverley Dunkley, Barry Callebaut

The future looks good with such talented and committed students. Congratulations to Michael for his vision, and to Exeter College for allowing him the opportunity to make it a reality.

Heather Measey, Arundell Arms

It is a pleasure to be involved with the Michael Caines Academy, I find the professionalism of the students a real breakthrough and have been delighted to help with placements. The Academy has a real link to the Hotel and Catering industry.
